T-Shirt Exhibition - The Civic Barnsley

I absolutely love documenting different exhibitions that I visit. Finding out about exhibitions isn't the easiest of jobs unless you set yourself the task (and remember) to research often. Which is why I want to use my fashion blog to share with you the exhibitions and work I am loving and I am being inspired by. In Barnsley there is currently an exhibition called The T-Shirt. I always think it is worth popping along to local exhibitions, you never know what work you could see.

'T shirt Cultt / Culture / Subversion is an insight into the history and culture of the most ubiquitous, affordable and popular garment of the last 50 years. Over the years the t- shirt has a means to broadcast social, musical and political passions and most recently become a creative toll for expressing innovative design. The exhibition explores each of these incarnations of this everyday item. Spanning over 50 years and featuring rare and ground breaking examples, the exhibition includes exceptional surviving pieces customised by Westwood and McLaren in the 1970's alongside classic designs from the archives of artists, musicians, collectors and designers'.

This exhibition is also free admission (which means there is no excuse not to pop along) and is on until September 22nd 2018 at The Civic Barnsley.
